Not to be missed! Performed inside one of the local temples on Jalan Tirta Tawar, this traditional Balinese dance is based on the Hindu Ramayana epic. Held every Tuesday and Sunday at 7pm. Come half an hour early to buy tickets at the gate and to get best seats in the house. Bring a light rain jacket just in case !

Jungle Fish - the nearest thing you'll find to a beach club in Ubud! Gorgeous infinity swimming pool carved inside an oasis of green jungle. Calm vibes but with ultra-cool beats. A reasonable minimum spend is required on food and drinks for non-hotel guests. It's around a 20-minute drive from Tabah on the days you want to splash in the water!

New, nice and super slick! Gymnasium is situated within one of the larger hotel complexes in Ubud. Daily, weekly and monthly passes are available. With all the typical gym classes, a swimming pool and even a sauna. Around 10 mins motorbike from Tabah Ubud.

All very healthy, colourful, fresh and delicious! For the best breakfast, brunch and possibly lunch (on those late jet lag mornings), it would have be Ithaka and Avocado Warung for the joint win!

Best Moped Hire
For short trips in and around Ubud, a moped is a must! Plenty of moped rental options available in and around Ubud. However, we liked using Bikago for their drop-off, pick-up service and professional advice. Bikago recommends upgrading your license to an international driver's license (in case of any trouble with the police) and will conduct checks to ensure you know how to drive safely. Feel free to park your moped outside the family home.
